Free Zones (Customs, Excise and Value Added Tax) Regulations 2021

UK | Active
This instrument sets out the customs duty, excise duty and Value Added Tax (VAT) rules that will apply for United Kingdom (UK) free zones. Free zones are secure customs zones located within a freeport, where business can be carried out inside the UK’s land border, but where different customs, VAT and excise rules apply. Freeports can reduce administrative burdens, provide duty and import tax advantages, and ease tax and planning regulations.
