A PESTLE/PESTEL Analysis is a framework of factors which could affect an organisation. It is often used to manage business risks or inform strategy.
Clause 4.1 Understanding the Context of the Organisation
Annex SL based ISO Management Systems include a requirement to identify the internal and external issues relevant to its purpose and that might impact the intended outcome of the system.
While the standards do not specify how this should be demonstrated, some organisations use a PESTLE Analysis to identify and document these issues.
