How do I do Internal Audits for ISO 9001:2015

Introduction

To ensure the quality management system is meeting its intended outcomes, impartial internal audits should be conducted.

This internal audit process template sets out the audit process.

Impartiality

Internal auditors must be impartial, which means they should not audit their own work, or any area that they may have bias towards.

This can be difficult to manage in a small organisation, so you may consider outsourcing the internal audits to an ISO Consultants such as Assent Risk Management.

Competent Auditors

Internal auditors must be competent to audit the standards and areas required. Competency can be demonstrated through formal training or experience.

Records of auditor competence should be maintained.
