C7.1.6 – Organisational knowledge

This policy outlines the approach to managing and maintaining organisational knowledge as required by Clause 7.1.6 of ISO 9001:2015. It ensures that the organisation identifies, retains, and makes accessible the necessary knowledge to operate effectively, meet customer requirements, and support the continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS).

ISO 9001:2015 – Organisational Knowledge

Clause 7.1.6 of ISO 9001:2015 requires organisations to determine the knowledge necessary for the operation of processes and the achievement of conformity of products and services. This includes both current knowledge and knowledge that will be needed in the future. Organisations must ensure that critical knowledge is retained and shared effectively across the workforce to maintain consistent quality and improve performance. By managing organisational knowledge, businesses can enhance innovation, prevent the loss of expertise, and ensure ongoing compliance with ISO 9001:2015.
